Your data stays yours.

Stored on your computer

Chats, projects, memory, skills, tasks and settings are saved locally in your Windows user profile. We do not receive copies.

AI requests

When you send a message, it goes directly from your computer to the AI provider you configured, under that provider's own terms and privacy policy. HEDES does not proxy or log these requests.

API keys

Provider keys are encrypted using Windows DPAPI (Electron safeStorage). Tokens you enter for connectors are encrypted the same way before they are written to disk.

Optional features that use the network

• Web search, connectors and MCP servers you enable
• HEDES Cloud (sign-in, sync and project backup) — only if you sign in and turn it on. Synced chats, settings and files are stored under your account; backup skips .env files and keys.
• HEDES AI — your prompt is sent to the model you pick; usage counts are kept to enforce daily limits
• Downloading offline speech models

Deleting your data

In Settings, Account & Cloud you can delete your cloud data or your whole account. Local files stay on your computer until you remove them.

This website

This site loads fonts and icons from Google Fonts, OnlineWebFonts and cdnjs, and a background video from a CDN. It sets no tracking cookies of its own.
